Cut from soft premium rayon that drapes and moves, this kaftan hangs loose and away from the body with a V neckline, side slits and a slipover shape. At 40 inches it sits at mid calf around 5 ft. 4 in. and just below the knee if you are taller. Generously wide, one size up to US 4XL. Gentle machine wash, low heat dry, first wash separately.

The print looks even better in person than in photos, which is not always the case. the fabric is light and breathable, and the cut is surprisingly … attractive for being essentially a rectangle. it is NOT just a sack.
the neckline is just the right depth so if you need a bra, it won’t show, but if you don’t, you won’t be the show, because the entire top of the garment is really cleverly cut. the appreciation to detail even extends to the tag, which is soft fabric sewn along one back seam; i’m really sensitive to tags, but i didn’t notice this while wearing the garment at all, and if it had bothered me it would’ve been easy to remove since it’s sewn separately. that alone is worth a sixth star to me.
tl;dr: if i could wear one garment for the rest of my life, it’d be mala’s beautiful, well-made caftans.
I love this Kaftan! The weight of the fabric is delicious. I love the somewhat fitted sleeves. The neck is a little wide so it falls off one shoulder a bit, when I get sloppy sitting in my chair, but it hangs nicely when standing. I will buy more of these!
