Thank you for shopping with Malahandworks. This policy outlines the details of our shipping procedures and practices.


Order Processing Time

All orders are processed within 1-2 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. We strive to ship orders the same or the next business day. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped.


Shipping Rates & Delivery Estimates

Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. All orders are shipped from our fulfillment center in Hollywood, Maryland, USA.

Domestic Shipping (USA)

  • Standard Shipping: We offer FREE USPS Ground Advantage shipping with tracking on domestic orders. The average arrival time is 2-7 business days after shipment.

  • Upgraded Shipping: Expedited shipping options from carriers such as USPS, UPS, and DHL Express are available at checkout for an additional cost.

International Shipping

We offer international shipping worldwide. Delivery estimates are as follows:

  • Canada: Average arrival time is 7 business days.

  • All Other International Destinations: Average arrival time is 7-14 business days.

Available international shipping options from carriers like DHL, UPS, and FedEx will be displayed at checkout.

Please note that the estimated delivery times are provided as a guide and are not guaranteed. Delays can occur due to factors beyond our control, such as customs processing.


Shipment Confirmation & Order Tracking

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email and/or SMS message, which will include a tracking number. You can use this number to monitor the status of your delivery. Please allow up to 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.


Customs, Duties, and Taxes

International shipments may incur import duties, taxes, or VAT as determined by the destination country. Malahandworks is not responsible for these charges if they are applied. All such fees are the responsibility of the customer. Your shipping carrier will notify you if any payment is due upon delivery.


Damages and Order Issues

Please inspect your order upon receipt. If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, please contact us within 14 days of delivery at hello@malahandworks.com. To help us resolve the issue quickly, please include your order number and clear photos of the item's condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis and will work with you to find a satisfactory solution.


Lost or Stolen Packages

Mala Handworks is not liable for lost or stolen packages once the carrier has marked the package as delivered to the address provided. If you believe your package has been lost or stolen, please take the following steps:

  1. Check with neighbours, building management, or others who may have accepted the package on your behalf.

  2. Contact the shipping carrier directly to report the issue and inquire about the delivery details.


Returns & Exchanges

Key points to note:

  • To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it: unworn and unused.

  • Custom hemmed products are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged.

  • For most returns, the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs. If we made an error or your item arrived damaged, we will cover the return shipping costs.
