Soft fossil gray, with rows of violet tie dye running down the length. Hand tied and dyed, so the violet settles a little differently on every piece.
Double gauze is two fine layers of cotton woven together: light on the body, breathable in the heat, and not see-through. On the textured weave the dye reads soft rather than sharp. Long and loose, with a V-neck, side slits, wide kaftan arms and no pockets.
Easy over swimwear in summer, easy with a cardigan once it turns. One Penelope customer said it best: "Breezy but not see-through: it's substantial enough to wear as a dress, not just a beach cover-up."
