Every Luna kaftan is made by a small community of skilled artisans in Thailand: family members, neighbours, and trusted makers who have been sewing together for years. We pay fairly, work slowly, and believe that when the people making your clothes are thriving, you can feel it in every stitch.
This is the second of these kaftans I have ordered. I ordered a black one several years ago. It has held up well. I wear them as a nightgown or as at home lounge wear. I sometimes move quite a lot in my sleep and the stitching is still intact.
I love the plum color just as much. Easy care machine wash. Low or delicate heat dry. I sometimes just hang dry.
They do wrinkle but iron easily as they basically are a rectangle.
I bought two different dresses, but preferred this one. It's just a bit thicker, maybe, and seemed less see through. Fit was as described. As a plus size woman, I was so thankful to have options. Thank you! Super comfortable and kept me cool when I wore it. Would recommend, especially if you can catch a discount.
As a man it’s always been hard to find kaftans that work for me, as I am tall but like almost floor length. The fit and length of my 60” kaftan is perfect!!! I line the way it looks and feels! I will definitely order again from Malahandworks! I highly recommend!

I was surprised at the speed at which I received my package! I believe that it was only 4 days from the time that I ordered the 2 caftans, until I received them. The packaging was done with great care.
I bought 2 caftans, one as a gift for my sister. The material of both was soft, comfortable, & the stitching was done with care. It was a little fitted, which I hadn’t realized the caftans would be. No drawstring. Again, both my fault for not reading more carefully, but bc these were both well-made, I made the decision to keep them. My sister loved hers! I would definitely buy from this shop again!

Color and style are exactly like the picture. The fabric is super soft and doesn’t have any sort of smell to it (you never know when ordering online!). Overall, the kaftan is beautiful and super comfortable. Highly recommend! (Also, it shipped super quickly!)
Fabric was high quality, soft & comfortable. I am 5 feet tall, so I ordered the 40 inch length and it barely came to my knees. It is too short for me to wear. Just be careful What length you order. This definitely was too short for me. I am not going to return it, but even my granddaughters would find this too short
We try to photograph as true to color as we can. Since all these pieces are hand-tied and dyed, each kaftan will vary slightly.
Our kaftans are one size fits most - up to 3XL with the standard being 68" around bust/waist/hips. That being said, we do offer a petite collection with slimmer silhouettes.
