This company makes beautiful kaftans. This is my third one from Mala. (I have bought kaftans from other companies on Etsy, and they do not compare in quality.) The dye used to make kaftans from Mala Handiworks never "bleed"/transfer onto your skin. The seams are well done, with no loose threads, even after washing. In the heat and humidity, these breezy kaftans help keep you cool! As for which length works best, I am 5'6" and find the 52" length is perfect. It keeps me covered, even when seated, and does not drag on the floor when I walk.

So many things online are not as promised. This caftan looks and feels just like the video. The color is just as vibrant. Also, believe it or not, Mala appears to be a real person! We try to photograph as true to color as we can. Since all these pieces are hand-tied and dyed, each kaftan will vary slightly.
Our kaftans are one size fits most - up to 3XL with the standard being 68" around bust/waist/hips. That being said, we do offer a petite collection with slimmer silhouettes.

Not to be ghoulish, but I needed burial clothing for my partner and me for green burial. This means no plastic of any sort, even threads. I am exceedingly happy with the kaftans; they are well made and also lovely. It took quite a bit of reseach and I am SO GLAD I found Mala.
