Every Luna kaftan is made by a small community of skilled artisans in Thailand: family members, neighbours, and trusted makers who have been sewing together for years. We pay fairly, work slowly, and believe that when the people making your clothes are thriving, you can feel it in every stitch.
Easy, fun, pretty outfit for casual errand or hanging around the house. Be aware it is made of thin fabric and it will wrinkle after washing, but a quick steam rectifies that. Glad I ordered it.

USPS ran late on my order -- which is on them and not Mala -- meaning I had to wait longer than I should have to get comfy. So hopefully once I make my second order (the best compliment you can give to a creator, imo), they won't mess up again and I can get cozy faster. Drapes beautifully, is the perfect length, sits well on large chests (don't use a sports bra with caftans, my friends), and holds up as the cat slaps at my ankles.

Looooove this Kaftan. I’m 5’3” and 125lb and got 40” length. It’s perfect and about 4” below the mid of my knee when my arms are by my side. The length is great as it’s hard to walk up and down stairs when it’s closer to ankle length (I end up stepping/tripping on it). The material feels cooling yet warm at the same time and the softness of it drapes and gently hangs. It’s my first Kaftan and I love it!

We try to photograph as true to color as we can. Since all these pieces are hand-tied and dyed, each kaftan will vary slightly.
Our kaftans are one size fits most - up to 3XL with the standard being 68" around bust/waist/hips. That being said, we do offer a petite collection with slimmer silhouettes.

Not to be ghoulish, but I needed burial clothing for my partner and me for green burial. This means no plastic of any sort, even threads. I am exceedingly happy with the kaftans; they are well made and also lovely. It took quite a bit of reseach and I am SO GLAD I found Mala.
