Black with white hand-painted lotus leaves is the most graphic kaftan in the Alice range, every leaf placed by hand in batik wax, so no two pieces land identically. The white reads almost luminous against the deep black, especially on a soft jersey.
The Alice in Black with Lotus Leaves is cut from soft jersey cotton, a stretchy, breathable knit that lounges well on the couch and looks intentional on a coffee run. Boat neckline, two pockets, no slits, and a silhouette that falls loose from the body.

Not to be ghoulish, but I needed burial clothing for my partner and me for green burial. This means no plastic of any sort, even threads. I am exceedingly happy with the kaftans; they are well made and also lovely. It took quite a bit of reseach and I am SO GLAD I found Mala.
