Hand-tied and dyed, so no two are the same. Violet moves through a soft fossil gray and settles differently on every piece, which means yours is the only one of it. On a muslin weave the dye reads soft rather than sharp, and the texture keeps the whole thing from ever looking flat.
A slipover kaftan in textured cotton, two fine layers woven together. Light on the body, and not sheer. V-neckline, side slits, no pockets. Lengths run 50, 52 and 55 inches, measured shoulder to hem. Easy over swimwear, easy with boots and a cardigan once it turns.
Relaxed one-size fit, 68 inches around at bust, waist and hips, up to US 3XL. Arms 22 inches around. First wash separately; gentle machine wash, low heat dry.

Not to be ghoulish, but I needed burial clothing for my partner and me for green burial. This means no plastic of any sort, even threads. I am exceedingly happy with the kaftans; they are well made and also lovely. It took quite a bit of reseach and I am SO GLAD I found Mala.
I absolutely love this dress! I will be ordering more! The color is so pretty and it is exactly what I expected after reading the description. The cotton gauze fabric is not too thin.
